A Disasterous Tornado Outbreak

The largest tornado outbreak since 2008 raked the Southeast claiming around 45 lives. North Carolina was the worst hit, with around 22 deaths in the state. Over 200 tornadoes were reported with around 97 actually confirmed so far. The storms began on Thursday and lasted untill Saturday as the storms raced across the South. The twisters impacted 12 states: Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. Of the deaths reported, 22 were in North Carolina, 6 in Virginia, 7 in Arkansas, 7 in Alabama, 1 in Mississippi, and 2 in Oklahoma.

Though there is a chance for severe weather beginning Tuesday, none of the areas severily affected by last week's storms are predicted to be disturbed. The road down recovery will be a long one.

The New and Improved Natural Disaster News and Info!

After taking an around year long break, I've decided to reboot the blog and start making more posts, bringing more info, and giving out more tips. There will be some new monthly activities including disaster movie reviews. Hopefully, I can continue this blog for a while and report on the latest disasters to happen. See you all real soon!
